The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a really big game, so it’s only natural to feel a little lost when trying to track down Link’s elusive lost memories scattered across the far reaches of the wilderness. Fortunately, we’ve done the legwork for you by gathering up every memory location in this handy guide, leaving you more time to tackle the important stuff like beating up Bokoblins and petting every dog in the game.
It’s worth pointing out that this guide shows the locations of all of the optional memories. There are several mandatory scenes that you will encounter as you progress through the story, so there’s no need to worry about those. We’ve also made sure not to spoil any of the contents of the memories, so you don’t need to worry about seeing something you shouldn’t in the following pages.

Memory #1: Found directly at the centre of the Sacred Ground Ruins. This memory is easy to find as it sits directly south of the entrance to Hyrule Castle. You can either head north from the Central Tower, although the stationary guardians might make that difficult, or alternatively you can try heading south from the Woodland Tower. Either way will likely force you to come into contact with a guardian, so be prepared to run or put up a fight.

Memory #2: This memory can be found sitting just above the northern edge of the Great Plateau, along the western shore of Lake Kolomo. You can easily get here by heading north from the Oman Au Shrine located on the Great Plateau.

Memory #3: Located on the western half of the world map, in the Ancient Columns area that rests south-west of the Tabantha Great Bridge, and directly south of Piper Ridge. You can reach this memory by heading south from the Tabantha Tower, or by following the road West from Ridgeland Tower. This area is patrolled by stronger enemy variants, including Sentry Guardians patrolling the roads, and the colder temperatures will need either a cold resist elixir or the Warm Doublet to get around unhindered.

Memory #4: This memory can be found at the Kara Kara Bazaar, halfway between the entrance to the Gerudo Desert and Gerudo Town. The memory is located on the North-East edge of the oasis. If you stick to the roads, getting to the Bazaar should be fairly painless with little to no enemies to worry about. You can try either following the single road that leads into the desert, or alternatively by flying west from the Wasteland Tower.

Memory #5: This memory is located on the edge of the Eldin region overlooking Central Hyrule, directly west of Goronbi Lake. To get this memory, you're going to need either the flame guard armour from the NPC in the mines below, or a steady supply of flame resist elixirs to last you until you reach the peak of the cliff. You can either try heading east from the Woodland Tower, or west from the Eldin Tower to get here. Either path will see you run into some moderately tough enemies, including the Fire Lizalfos closer to the summit, but most threats can be avoided by circling around them if you're not strong enough to take them head on yet. Once you've grabbed the memory, make sure you complete the stone circle nearby to get a Korok seed too.
