Trailer for The Division Reveals Brand New Story in the Tom Clancy Universe

Ubisoft has made numerous games inspired by Tom Clancy novels including the Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell series. Ubisoft has been developing an all-new Tom Clancy series titled The Division and have recently released a trailer for it.

From what we can see in the trailer, society has collapsed and there’s this special ops group who appear to be a last line of defense against the chaos known as the Division. This looks like a promising installment in the Tom Clancy franchise, but we won’t be able to get our hands on the game until March, a whole nine months from now (you could have a baby in that time).

According to the game’s website, the story takes place in New York City where a virus has plagued the city and it’s your job to find its source. Enemies will include Cleaners, who wear hazmat suits and burn everything and everyone, and Rikers, convicts who escaped the prison and are set on controlling the city. You’ll get to customize your agent character and upgrade your skills. Looks like desolate New York will be a hell of a place to save what’s left of society — while shooting and blowing stuff up of course.

The Division will be available March 8, 2016.
