Ubisoft Announces Three Games for Nintendo Switch

Last night, amidst the deluge of Nintendo Switch news, Ubisoft announced they were bringing Just Dance 2017, Steep and Rayman Legends Definitive Edition to the new console.

A proper launch title, Just Dance 2017 will be available on March 3 alongside the new console. There’s no word yet on when the other two games will become available.

Ubisoft said Switch owners will be granted three free months of Just Dance Unlimited, the dance-on-demand subscription streaming service, which offers more than 200 additional songs and access to exclusive tracks, with new hit songs added all the time.” This will include the top-charting hit and Switch-exclusive song for Just Dance 2017, “How Deep is Your Love” by Calvin Harris and Disciples. 40 songs will already be available in-game, as they are in each other platform’s version of the game. Ubisoft added that with the Switch’s unique mobile functionality, the game will be playable anywhere with up to six players using either Joy-Cons or the Just Dance Controller smartphone app.

Ubisoft teased some “brand-new surprises” for the Switch port of Rayman Legends Definitive Edition, but made no specific mention of what that would entail. The Switch’s version of Steep is boasted to have the same features as its existing console and PC counterparts, and no new additions were announced.

Ubisoft also made clear that they currently have a number of other Switch titles in development, and will share details on those at a later date. Be sure to stay tuned to Paste as more Nintendo Switch details continue to be announced.
