If you’ve been missing the bright colors and quirkiness of the Katamari series, this new game may pique your interest. From Katamari creator Keita Takahashi, developer Funonema and publisher Annapurna Interactive is Wattam, and it looks just as weird and wonderful as Takahashi’s famous title.
The brief teaser showcases the round and colorful characters, with a facial features, food, flowers and trees (all with faces of their own) running through a field. While not featured in this particular video, the game focuses on the “Mayor” of Wattam, interacting with a variety of characters with actions like stacking, launching and blowing up these strange cartoony creations.
Wattam will release for PC and “consoles” on 2018. The new teaser, just in time for PAX, is above. Otherwise, also check out the E3 2017 trailer, embedded below.
