Paste has teamed up with Waxwork Records once again to bring you another very special (and very spooky) giveaway.
Waxwork has pressed a double LP of the original score for the recently released Child’s Play remake, and one of our lucky readers will have the chance to win themselves a copy of the new Bear McCreary-composed soundtrack.
The soundtrack from the famed Walking Dead and Godzilla: King of The Monsters composer was created with the idea of a “toy orchestra” in mind, as well as McCreary using his own voice to create a creepy “kid’s choir.” Furthermore, Mark Hamill—the voice of the 2019 rendition of Chucky—lends his voice to the track, “The Buddi.” It all makes for a dynamic, anachronistic and deeply unsettling score.
The deluxe double LP packaging consists of liner notes by McCreary, a 12” x 12” insert, eerie artwork by Phantom City Creative, and double 180-gram “Chucky’s Eyes” vinyl LPs colored in blue and red. This double LP is something that Chucky fans and horror fans alike will not want to miss.
Child’s Play—directed by Lars Klevberg and starring Aubrey Plaza, Mark Hamill, Brian Tyree Henry and Gabriel Bateman—is in theaters now.
