Return to the Hundred Acre Wood With the First Teaser for Disney’s Christopher Robin

Journey back to the Hundred Acre Wood with Pooh and the gang in Disney’s newest live-action story, Christopher Robin. Ewan McGregor stars in the film as Christopher Robin, who begins to lose focus on the important things in life, like his family and passion, while focusing on work and his new life. As he’s grown up and moved further away from his childhood home in the Hundred Acre Wood, Christopher Robin has lost his way. Suddenly, his old friend Winnie the Pooh returns to help guide him back home to a time of fairytales, happy endings and the undeniably beautiful innocence of childhood.

Joining McGregor in this film is Hayley Atwell, playing the role of his wife, Evelyn. The familiar faces of the Hundred Acre Wood all return, with Chris O’Dowd voicing Tigger, Toby Jones as Owl, Brad Garrett as Eeyore, Academy Award nominee Sophie Okonedo as Kanga, Academy Award winner Peter Capaldi as Rabbit and Jim Cummings as Winnie the Pooh.

Disney’s live-action films have had tremendous success in the last few years, including the likes of 2014’s Maleficent with Angelina Jolie, 2015’s Cinderella with Lily James and Cate Blanchett, 2016’s The Jungle Book with Bill Murray and Idris Elba, and last year’s Beauty and the Beast with Emma Watson and Dan Stevens (and the voice of McGregor). This film, however, is not a direct remake of anything—it is simply a new look on original material creating by A.A. Milne, per Movieweb. The film is directed by Marc Foster, known for directing Finding Neverland with Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet, World War Z with Brad Pitt and Lost’s Matthew Fox, and Monster’s Ball with Halle Berry and Billy Bob Thornton.

Remember what it’s like to be a kid again in theaters on Aug. 3 and enjoy the teaser below.
