Disney Releases Trailer for The Jungle Book

Disney released the trailer for the new live-action The Jungle Book reboot today. It’s the Rudyard Kipling tale we all know and love, but this trailer makes it look 100 times cooler than most people probably dreamed of. It’s directed by Jon Favreau ( Ironman, Elf), therefore destined to be intentionally over-the-top and action-packed.

The reboot features some pretty big names including Bill Murray, Scarlett Johansson, Idris Elba and more. The trailer shows the little boy, Mowgli, in dastardly situations such as being stuck in a stampede (á la Simba—we still miss you Mufasa!), having to swing over fire and almost getting taken out by a giant tiger, presumably Shere Khan. Why the orangutan is the size of a building, we’re not entirely sure.

If you are feeling nostalgic, here’s the trailer for the beloved 1967 Disney classic. It’s not our fault if you have “I Wanna Be Like You” stuck in your head for the rest of the day.

Also, if you don’t remember, this isn’t the first time Disney came out with a live-action version of this film. Who could have ever forgotten the straight-to-VHS classic, The Jungle Book: Mowgli’s Story? Oh, right. Everyone.

It won’t be too impossible to beat that one, right? The latest reboot of The Jungle Book will be in theaters April 15, 2016.
