Money Monster Trailer Sees George Clooney, Julia Roberts Held Hostage

This trailer for the Jodi Foster-directed financial thriller Money Monster asks audiences who is responsible for what happens on Wall Street.

The film, which stars Ocean’s Eleven co-stars George Clooney and Julia Roberts, follows a television personality’s fight to stay alive after being taken hostage by an irate investor who has lost everything as the result of a bad tip.

Clooney plays Lee Gates, the aforementioned television personality and inside trader, who now finds his fate broadcasted in real time to a national audience eager to see how much a man’s life is worth, in an industry where the only thing that matters is numbers.

Roberts stars as Gate’s producer Patty Fenn, and as the trailer reveals his primary aide in an effort to both diffuse a deadly situation and uncover the truth in a complicated web of Wall Street money lies.

Money Monster hits theaters on May 13, 2016.
