Henry Cavill to Star as Sherlock Holmes Alongside Millie Bobby Brown in Enola Holmes

It’s elementary, my dear Watson.

After playing Superman for three films, Henry Cavill is ready to take on another iconic role—Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s classic Sherlock Holmes—in the forthcoming Enola Homes, per THR.

It looks like the game is afoot for the Man of Steel, who will star alongside Stranger Things’ Millie Bobby Brown as Enola Holmes.

The film will be based on the beloved Nancy Springer book series The Enola Holmes Mysteries, which tells the story of Sherlock’s plucky younger sister, Enola.

The series kicked off with The Case of the Missing Marquess in 2016 and has since spanned six mystery novels.

This movie will specifically center on a missing teen whose father is murdered.

And Cavill and Brown aren’t the only A-listers to join the cast. Helena Bonham Carter, who should need no introduction, is on board as Enola’s mother.

Harry Bradbeer, known for his work on the renowned spy thriller Killing Eve and the fiercely funny British comedy series Fleabag, will direct alongside Jack Thorne, the writer behind His Dark Materials, who will pen the script.

Brown will also be working on the producing end, while Alex Garcia and Ali Mendes from Legendary will oversee the project.

This isn’t the fist time Legendary and Brown have teamed up. The company tapped Brown for Godzilla: King of the Monsters and quickly snatched her up for Enola Holmes.

Cameras start rolling this summer, but until then, you can catch Cavill in Netflix’s forthcoming The Witcher series, based on another best-selling book series. While he’s, of course, best known for playing Superman, Cavill was most recently appeared in Mission: Impossible – Fallout.
