Horror Classic Puppet Master To Receive The Reboot Treatment From Bone Tomahawk Director

Movies News

A horror classic is getting reanimated, thanks to Bone Tomahawk director S. Craig Zahler.

Fans of the cult-classic franchise Puppet Master can expect to see even more from their favorite anthropomorphic doll crew as Zahler teams up with Transformers producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Caliber Media.

The newest installment will follow a young man, recently divorced and eager to sell off a mint condition Blade doll—which belonged to his deceased brother—at a convention in Oregon celebrating the 30th anniversary of the infamous Toulon Murders. The Puppet Master universe plus a giant doll convention are clear red flags for lots of bloody murder that is sure to play homage to the movie’s 10 (seriously, 10) preceding installments and the newest installment, which is scheduled to hit theaters later this year.

Variety reports that there are plans to develop multiple storylines within the new universe, which means the entire series about murderous puppets brought to life through an Egyptian spell is getting new strings.
