Jessica Chastain Takes on the Gun Lobby in Miss Sloane Trailer

Jessica Chastain is all business in the first trailer for Miss Sloane. The political thriller stars Chastain as a ruthless lobbyist whose notoriety comes from her incredible desire to win, no matter what the costs may be. In the trailer, we get a sense of just how hard Chastain’s Sloane may be.

Miss Sloane follows its titular lobbyist as she works to take down the gun lobby, one of Washington’s most notoriously powerful organizations. That doesn’t seem to be much of a problem for Sloane. As she even explains, “It’s about making sure you surprise them, and they don’t surprise you.”

Directed by John Madden (The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel), Miss Sloane looks like a thrilling peek into how Washington insiders do business, and an attempt to uncover the parts of politics that aren’t widely understood. Miss Sloane also stars Mark Strong, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Michael Stuhlbarg, Alison Pill, Jake Lacy, Sam Waterston and John Lithgow, with a script from first-time screenwriter Jonathan Perera.
