Jillian Bell Is the Latest to Join Bill & Ted Face the Music

Jillian Bell is the latest to join the long-awaited third installment of the time-traveling, classic rock-laden, cult-favorite Bill & Ted series, Bill & Ted Face the Music, according to multiple outlets.

The sequel, which follows 1991’s Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, and finds Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter reprising their titular roles, will feature Bell as a couples therapist named Dr. Taylor Wood who works with both men’s families.

Directed by Galaxy Quest’s Dean Parisot, Face the Music will follow Reeves’ and Winter’s time-traveling slackers after a visitor from the future warns the duo that their music is the only thing that can save the universe from impending doom. Production is already underway on the project.

The film will mark the return of William Sadler, and feature newcomers Anthony Carrigan, Scott Mescudi (aka Kid Cudi) and Saturday Night Live’s Beck Bennett. The project is also welcoming back veteran Bill & Ted screenwriters Ed Solomon and Chris Matheson, so we know we’re in good hands.

Bell, who has appeared in featured roles in 22 Jump Street, Rough Night and Comedy Central’s Workaholics, will star in Amazon Studios’ forthcoming feature Brittany Runs a Marathon, premiering on Aug. 23.

Bill & Ted Face the Music is set for release on Aug. 21, 2020.
