Watch Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone Perform “City of Stars” from La La Land

La La Land already looks like the most charming movie of 2016, and every bit of new footage only reinforces that notion. In a newly released clip from the film, Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone perform a glorious duet called “City of Stars,” which was also featured in the film’s first trailer.

The clip gives us a sense of the marvelous visual splendor of La La Land, and of the intense chemistry that seems to naturally exist between Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling. La La Land is already an Oscar frontrunner after taking the festival circuit by storm.

The film also stars John Legend, J.K. Simmons and Rosemarie Dewitt, and it was written and directed by Whiplash mastermind Damien Chazelle. The film begins a limited run in theaters today, and will gradually expand in the coming weeks until it infects the entire world with its giddy energy.
