If you believe new horror maestro Ari Aster (of Hereditary infamy), then summer is all about the following things: dancing, drinking, games, bonding, new friends, chanting, parades, spells, naps, blood pacts, risk taking, getting high, finger painting, clubbing and bingo.
We can’t disagree, though the new teaser for Midsommar sure does seem to imply that the classic family game “Skin The Fool” isn’t as innocent as we thought. Though not exactly packed to the brim with new footage, we’re always excited to catch a glimpse of the forthcoming festival-gone-wrong horror film that will surely turn its technicolor imagery awfully sinister.
Midsommar will hit theaters on July 3. The film stars Florence Pugh, Jack Reynor and William Jackson Harper. Check out the new teaser below, then revisit the full trailer here.
