Actor Woody Harrelson is set to star in Netflix’s forthcoming action-thriller Kate, per THR.
The Netflix film is set to begin shooting in Asia in the fall, and the plot follows an operative who gets fatally poisoned and has less than 24 hours to enact revenge on her enemies. Along the way, the operative forms an unexpected relationship with the daughter of an old victim.
Harrelson will star alongside Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Fargo,10 Cloverfield Lane ) in the film as the operative’s mentor, who may or may not have some conflicting intentions.
Cedric Nicolas-Troyan (The Huntsman: Winter’s War) will direct the film from a script penned by Umair Aleen (Extraction). Bryan Unkeless (Bright, I, Tonya ) will produce with Kelly McCormick (Deadpool 2 ) and Patrick Newall (How It Ends. ). David Leitch and Scott Morgan will executive produce the flick.
Harrelson recently starred in Netflix’s The Highwaymen with Kevin Costner. He is set to star in the forthcoming Zombieland sequel Zombieland: Double Tap, as well as the star-studded war drama from Roland Emmerich, Midway Harrelson will also executive produce and star in the limited series The Most Dangerous Man, which is based off the book of the same name that details Timothy Leary’s prison escape and run from the law in the ’70s.
