Check Out This Featurette on Oscar Isaac’s X-Men Villain, Apocalypse

It seems like these featurette videos are becoming more popular in the days before massive movies hit theaters. We’ve already had three trailers for X-Men: Apocalypse, so instead of another, we’re now being treated to some documentary-style background on Apocalypse himself.

Director Bryan Singer and actors James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender talk a little bit about the character, explaining that Apocalypse created civilization, thinks himself a god and has acquired the powers of many other mutants over the course of millennia of existence. Bottom line: it’s going to be very difficult for the X-Men to defeat him. We also get to see some behind-the-scenes footage of Oscar Isaac playing the role before the effects team turned him blue and badass.
