Shohreh Aghdashloo Brought onto Star Trek Beyond for Reshoots

Oscar nominated and Emmy winning Iranian actress Shohreh Aghdashloo has been brought aboard for the third Star Trek installment, Star Trek Beyond, for reshoots, Deadline reports. It’s hard to tell if this is good or bad news, with reshoots coming late into production.

Aghdashloo, best known for her role in House Of Sand And Fog, will be playing the High Command of the Federation and will be starring alongside Chris Pine, Idris Elba and Simon Pegg, who is also credited as one of the film’s many writers.

Despite director Justin Lin’s reshoots, the film is still set to be released this summer, on July 22, from Paramount.
