Samuel L. Jackson Calls out Inconsistency in Spider-Man: Far From Home Poster

We’re roughly a week away from the release of Spider-Man: Far From Home and everyone attached seems pretty content. Junkets are unfolding nicely, its predicted box office revenue is looking pretty good and Zendaya is staying busy … but Samuel L. Jackson has one question: What the fuck is going on in the film’s poster?

The actor took to Instagram to post an image of two adjacent Far From Home posters with Jackson’s eye-patched Nick Fury character emblazoned on them, one showing Fury with an eyepatch over the right eye and the other showing the eyepatch over the left.

“Uhhhhhhh, What In The Actual FUCK IS GOING ON HERE???!!! #headsgonroll #lefteyemuthafukkah,” Jackson wrote in the caption.

The error is likely the result of a graphic designer mirroring an image for promotional materials and not realizing that it could lead to a characterization issue.

Jackson has played the recurring character in Marvel films since 2008 and seems to play a large role in helping Peter Parker cope with the loss of Tony Stark in the forthcoming film.

So, yes—we do pity the designer who didn’t catch the inconsistency, but Jackson has the right to raise hell.

Spider-Man: Far From Home hits theaters July 2. You can check out Jackson’s Instagram post below and brush up on everything we know about the film so far here.
