HBO is set to release a feature-length documentary about legendary filmmaker Steven Spielberg on Oct. 7.

Spielberg will be directed and produced by Susan Lacy, the Emmy award-winning documentarian behind American Masters. Lacy conducted over 30 hours of interviews with Spielberg for the film, which will examine the director’s extensive filmography as well as his personal life.

The film will feature behind-the-scenes footage from several of Spielberg’s films, as well as interviews with his family, friends, and industry figures including J.J. Abrams, Francis Ford Coppola, Daniel Day-Lewis, Leonardo DiCaprio, Drew Barrymore, George Lucas, Harrison Ford, Oprah Winfrey and Martin Scorsese.

As Spielberg has helmed some of the most iconic films of all time, an inside look at the director’s life is sure to be quite fascinating. The film will be available on HBO NOW, HBO Go and other affiliate portals following its release.
