Yesterday Disney released the first teaser for the upcoming Star Wars spin-off, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and, of course, the internet lost its collective mind.
It seems, though, that folks got so intensely jazzed about Rogue One that they couldn’t physically control their Twitter fingers. That’s right: when everyone took to social media to expound on their varying levels of elation, their fingers moved too quickly to spell the film’s title correctly. Either that or we have a massive illiteracy problem on our hands.
So while #RogueOne was busy trending, so was #RougeOne. And it wasn’t just casual fans who were spelling it incorrectly:
What was even better than the misspelling trending? People watching and commenting on other people using the incorrect hashtag.
Never change, Internet. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is set for a Dec. 16 release. No word yet on the release date of Rouge One: A Misspelling’s Story.
