Kate Hudson Joins Zach Braff’s Wish I Was Here

Movies Features Zach Braff

Zach Braff’s Kickstarter project for his Garden State follow-up has arguably received more publicity than any other project from the crowd-funding website. Wish I Was Here, Braff’s new project raised over $2 million within the first three days, and with three days left for funding it sits just over $2.5 million.

Now Braff has revealed that Kate Hudson signed on to play Braff’s wife in the film, joining Mandy Patinkin (The Princess Bride, Dead Like Me) Anna Kendrick (Pitch Perfect, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World), Josh Gad (The Book of Mormon) and Donald Faison (Scrubs, Clueless).

Zach Braff will be playing the role of struggling actor/husband/father of two, Aiden Bloom in Wish I Was Here. Braff’s character follows the quirky man-boy day-dreamer mold set by his role as J.D. in Scrubs, but this time Braff’s character will be filling out his elaborate fantasies as a valiant space-knight with a robotic side-kick (a relationship that one can only hope will be as bro-mantic as J.D. and Turk’s).
