Seattle’s Vaudeville Etiquette are releasing the first track, “Crosseyed Crazy,” off of their sophomore album Aura Vista Motel, produced by Shawn Simmons and out May 6.
”’Crosseyed Crazy’ is a playful romp through the exploits of mischievous love,” said co-vocalist Bradley Laina. “As the opening track on our new record Aura Vista Motel, we wanted this song to be a strident doorway into the storyline that we created with this collection of songs, as well as a statement of the spirited nature of our live shows. ‘Crosseyed Crazy’ is us at our partied best. The song is driven by the rhythm section, and was inspired by New Orleans second line drums featuring endless elements of auxiliary percussion. We added a big spoonful of Allman Brothers style guitars, and included the triumphant return of the cowbell to modern rock music. We do not fear the reaper at all.”
If this single is any indication, the band has really come into their own on this album, energetic and original. Be on the lookout for these guys. Listen to the exclusive premiere of “Crosseyed Crazy” above.
