Watch Jim James and Angel Olsen Cover Sonny & Cher at David Lynch Festival

A bevy of boldface names gathered in Brooklyn over the weekend for David Lynch’s Festival of Disruption, a three-day mutlimedia event brimming with live music, film, visual art, meditation and talks. Performers on hand included Animal Collective, Au Revior Simone, Jon Hopkins, My Morning Jacket’s Jim James and Angel Olsen—the latter of whom paired together on the second night for a performance of Sonny & Cher’s “Baby Don’t Go.” The third annual festival, which was in New York for the first time after two years in Los Angeles (it’s set to return to L.A. in October), was presented by the David Lynch Foundation. The organization, borne from Lynch’s longtime studies in Transcendental Meditation, focuses its work on at-risk populations, including victims of domestic violence, veterans suffering from PTSD and underserved urban youth.
