With Hillary Clinton in attendance on Tuesday night, Adele made it clear who she would vote for if she was allowed to. During her concert in Miami, the singer shared some advice with her fans about the upcoming election, and she had some choice words about Donald Trump.
“Don’t vote for him,” the singer said onstage, according to a Clinton aide. “I can’t vote, but I am 100 percent for Hillary Clinton. I love her, she’s amazing.” The British singer also pointed out that while the election won’t affect her directly, America’s elections have global consequences. “I am English, but what happens in America affects me, too,” she said.
Adele has made similar comments about Clinton during past shows, but this is the first time Clinton was present. Trump’s campaign manager Kellyanne Conway bit back at the praise Clinton seemed to be getting for attending the concert. “Respectfully, Hillary Clinton has time to go to an Adele concert and everybody else thinks that’s really cool,” said Conway on Today Wednesday. “Donald Trump stops off to unveil an incredible, stunning piece of architecture and new hotel, first-class hotel and everybody’s hair is on fire.”
Conway’s point may be a fair one, but come on, if you get the chance, you can’t skip Adele.
