Allah-Las Release Statement After Suspected Terror Attack Cancels Rotterdam Concert

Following the arrest of two suspects in a suspected terror attack on an Allah-Las concert in Rotterdam, the LA-based band has released a statement. The concert, which was supposed to take place this past Wednesday, was evacuated when authorities found a van carrying gas canisters. The driver of the van, along with another suspect, has been arrested.

From the band:

“In response to an alleged terror threat at The Maassilo in Rotterdam, Netherlands, our show yesterday was cancelled. The investigation is ongoing and full details are not yet available. However, the Dutch authorities have informed us that there is no credible future threat to the venue or the band. More than anything, we want to thank the law enforcement personnel and our fans of Rotterdam—-we’re grateful everybody is safe.”

The Allah-Las went on to promise a rescheduled appearance in Rotterdam, as well as refunds for ticketholders for the canceled show. They closed their statement with a call for peace: “The band, as always, supports, peaceful, non-violent protest in the pursuit of social and economic justice.”
