On Friday, English trio Alt-J dropped their third studio album, Relaxer behind captivating singles “In Cold Blood” and “Adeline,” as well as an online videogame that lets fans explore a world inspired by the project.
True to form, Relaxer is full of atmospheric and psychedelic production complimented by haunting vocal performances. Though the tracklist is shorter than their prior works, with a run time of just 39 minutes, the album still shows the band experimenting with a myriad of new sounds, proving itself as a worthy follow-up to 2014’s Grammy-nominated This Is All Yours.
