Singer-songwriter Angel Olsen teased us last week with a new song and video, “Intern.” That captivating song will be the first track off her new album, MY WOMAN, coming out Sept. 2.

MY WOMAN follows in the footsteps of 2014’s magnetic Burn Your Fire For No Witness. The new album will be Olsen’s second LP with Jagjaguwar.

Despite the album title and tracks named “Sister” and “Woman,” Olsen says the album isn’t necessarily a feminist manifesto, but it handles themes about “the complicated mess of being a woman,” according to a press release.

“I’m definitely using scenes that I’ve replayed in my head, in the same way that I might write a script and manipulate a memory to get it to fit,” Olsen says in the release. “But I think it’s important that people can interpret things the way that they want to.”

Olsen and her band will tour extensively in support of MY WOMAN throughout North America and Europe starting in September. Tour dates are below.
