Following the announcement that Best Coast will be releasing their forthcoming LP on Capitol imprint Harvest Records, the California duo has premiered the music video for the record’s lead single.
“California Nights” is the title track for the LP of the same name, due May 5 via Harvest, and it sees Best Coast continue their impressive run of music steeped in introspection and beachy vibes. The video is directed by Adam Harding, and serves as a stunningly beautiful visual to accompany a similarly beautiful song. Double exposed images of desert flora and fauna float by in a pink-tinged haze as Bethany Cosentino and Bobb Bruno sound more expansive than ever. They seem to be tapping into something larger than previously before, perhaps to accommodate for their jump to a bigger label, and the shift suits them.
