Big K.R.I.T. Warns You to "Keep the Devil Off" in New Single/Video

Meridian, Miss. rapper and producer Big K.R.I.T. has just released the video for his first single since “Free Agent,”which marked his split with Def Jam in 2016. His new song is called “Keep the Devil Off”—part gospel in form, part dance-anthem in practice, with a video in which the main character grooves and floats past pit bulls, muggers and cops. The video was directed by Alex Nazari, who’s worked with artists such as Lupe Fiasco and 2Chainz, and you can watch it in the player below.

“Even when I was signed, it was Multi till I die, proving motherfuckers wrong every goddamn time,” Krizzle rapped on “Free Agent.” He continues his roots-to-rise in “Keep the Devil Off” when he raps, “We ain’t cut from that cloth, I payed in gold what I bought.” Fly under the radar, rise to the top.

22 songs strong, 4Eva Is A Mighty Long Time is available for preorder here and out Oct. 27 on BMG—it will be K.R.I.T.’s first album since 2014’s Cadillactica. To revisit one of our favorites from early K.R.I.T., check out our review of 2012’s 4 Eva N a Day.
