Bleached Release New Power-Pop Single “Rebound City”

Another one in the bag for Bleached: Mere weeks after releasing their punchy, bouncy summer delight “Kiss You Goodbye,” the L.A.-based duo have released the fourth and final single from their forthcoming album, a blistering power-pop track titled “Rebound City.”

Angsty, guitar-driven and exploding with dizzying, crashing percussion, “Rebound City” kind of sounds like it was taken straight from that lone Courtney Love solo album. Vocalist Jennifer Clavin coolly recounts mistakes and mishaps over scuzzy guitars: waking up with a friend’s ex, breaking someone’s heart—remnants of a debaucherous post-breakup lifestyle left in the dust.

“This song is a brief history of the mistakes I’ve made,” Clavin said in a statement, “ … except there really are no mistakes, they’re all lessons in the end.”

The band’s forthcoming LP Don’t You Think You’ve Had Enough? is set to arrive July 12 via Dead Oceans. The album is Bleached’s first body of work written from a place of sobriety and angled in an arena-ready, pop-oriented sonic direction. You can revisit the album’s details here.
