Charlotte Gainsbourg Releases Self-Directed “I’m a Lie” Video

British-French singer-songwriter Charlotte Gainsbourg has released a new video for her track “I’m a Lie,” taken from her 2017 critically acclaimed album, Rest.

“I’m a Lie” is the latest in Gainsbourg’s series of self-directed music videos. “Thanks to a first step into directing, I was able to take possession of my own imagery,” she said of the videos she’s made.

“I’m a Lie” features Gainsbourg’s soft, dainty French vocals in the song’s verses and English vocals in the song’s uplifting synth-pop chorus.

The new video comes in conjunction with the announcement of a string of Gainsbourg tour dates in Europe and Japan.
