At Kiiara’s set at New York City’s Panorama Festival, the vocalist delivered a powerful tribute to the late Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington. Kiiara appeared as a guest vocalist on Linkin Park’s latest single, “Heavy,” and she performed the song at her set in honor of Bennington.
The singer also played “Battle Symphony,” a track off Linkin Park’s album One More Light, which released earlier this year. During “Battle Symphony,” the singer simply let the song play so the crowd could appreciate Bennington’s vocal work.
Kiiara also remained silent during Bennington’s parts for “Heavy,” and only sang her parts as on the album version. Watch fan-shot footage of the performance above, watch Bennington and his late friend and former Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell sing “Hunger Strike” here, and read our own Hilary Saunders on Linkin Park’s legacy here.
