Watch Day Wave Perform “Untitled” Live at Capitol Studios

After naming Day Wave the Best of What’s Next, and including the project on our list of our favorite new bands last year, it should come as no surprise that Paste is pretty excited for the debut Day Wave full-length, The Days We Had, which is out today.

But Jackson Phillips just keeps on giving us gold, and after a number of standout singles and music videos from the record over the last couple of months, he’s celebrating its release with a video of “Untitled,” a song that Paste premiered back in March, performed live at Capitol Studios.

Phillips’ dreamy indie-pop is on full display as he croons lines like, “I wanted to be here, under the ground / And you don’t want to be here, but you always find your way down,” over ‘80s synths and the kind of guitar lines that get stuck in your head all day.

You can watch the video above, and give a listen to Paste Cloud audio from Day Wave’s Daytrotter Session below. The Days We Had is out today via Harvest Records—listen here.
