Deezer Streaming Service Launches in the United States

Music News

Among today’s breaking music news, yet another streaming service has launched in the U.S. to join the very crowded market. French music subscription service Deezer is now available in the United States via the iOS App Store, Google Play, the Windows Store and Deezer.com. Competing with the almighty Spotify, as well as Apple Music, TIDAL, Pandora, etc., Deezer’s main selling point is its FLOW feature, which is “a personal soundtrack that intuitively knows everything listeners want to hear, from familiar tracks to new music.” Today’s launch is preceded by the success of the company’s home audio and wireless subscription services in the States.

Deezer’s Global CEO, Dr. Hans-Holger Albrecht, said of the launch:

We are thrilled to make Deezer available to all music fans in the U.S., at a time when the company is growing stronger and developing new technologies that enable us to deliver a much more personalized experience. We’ve already received an overwhelmingly positive response since offering Deezer via our partners Sonos, Bose and Cricket, and now look forward to making our service available to everyone.

In addition to the aforementioned FLOW, some of Deezer’s other highlighted features include:

• Access to more than 40 million songs and more than 40,000 news articles and podcasts
• Channels of new music selected by categories and genres that are custom-made for subscribers based on location and preference
• Live radio from participating radio stations, including Fingerprinting, which lets subscribers identify and tag a song on select radio stations.
• Download your favorite playlists and songs from 8Tracks without leaving the Deezer application.
• Easy-to-follow lyrics on display and on demand.
• Personalized suggestions and recommendations

Deezer is now available in the U.S. as a free download with a free 30-day trial of the Premium + package, followed by a monthly fee of $9.99. Find it here.
