Desert Daze Adds Primus, Television, Washed Out and More to Lineup

The boutique California festival Desert Daze has released the second phase of its lineup. Featuring an mélange of cult ‘70s punk bands, the organizers have added post-punk heroes Television, funk-metal mavens Primus and chillwave electronic act Washed Out, plus The Coathangers, Morgan Delt and Mild High Club. This second phase of acts is in addition to the already-announced artists, including industrial rock pioneers Suicide, psychedelic act The Brian Jonestown Massacre, garage-rock titans The Sonics and many more.

With such a unique lineup that stands out from the rest of the festivals, it is no wonder that Desert Daze’s site is also very distinctive: the fest is being held at the Institute of Mentalphysics in Joshua Tree, Calif. A unique feature to the festival is the on-site cottages and apartments located within the main grounds, which come with “preferred parking, private bathrooms, heat and A/C.” Three-day tickets are currently on sale, with single-day passes coming soon.
