British indie rockers Foals have announced the departure of their bassist, Walter Gervers, after 12 years with the band.
The band announced his departure via a handwritten note shared to social media, which said that Gervers wants to “pursue a new life.” The band also wrote, “The parting has been sad but we remain firm friends. He’ll always be our brother, we love him and wish him well in his future endeavours.”
Foals are currently in the studio working on the follow-up to their critically acclaimed 2015 LP, What Went Down, and the band claim their forthcoming album is “gonna be the best yet.”
