Metal Supergroup Gone Is Gone Premiere Second Song, “Starlight”

Music News Gone Is Gone

Members of hard-rock giants, plus a film composer, have teamed up to form Gone Is Gone. The supergroup is composed of Mastodon singer/bassist Troy Sanders, Queens of the Stone Age guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen, At the Drive-In drummer Tony Hajjar and guitarist/keyboardist Mike Zarin.

The band premiered their second song, titled “Starlight,” off their debut self-titled EP, which comes out July 8 through Rise Records. Ethereal yet grinding, “Starlight” premiered on the Beats 1 show “Start Making Sense.” Gone Is Gone already premiered their first track, “Violescent,” in April, along with its eerie music video. The metal group also plans to release a 13-track LP later this year.
