Hanson Announce 25th Anniversary Tour, Greatest Hits Compilation

Hanson (yes, that Hanson—the three kids who sang “MMMBop”) have announced their 25th anniversary tour.

The forthcoming “Middle Of Everywhere” tour commemorates the 20th anniversary of their debut album Middle Of Nowhere, which included hits such as “I Will Come To You,” “Where’s The Love” and, of course, “MMMBop.” The group will also release a compilation album Middle Of Everywhere: The Greatest Hits this year. The adorable trio first formed in 1992 when Hanson brothers Isaac, Taylor and Zac were 11, 9 and 6, respectively. Now, they are all in their 30s with a total of 12 children between them. Perhaps all 15 Hansons could team up and form a supergroup: Hanson³.

If Hanson’s 25th anniversary tour makes you feel old, you’re not alone. Sean O’Neal over at the AV Club was sent into a tailspin of acknowledging his own mortality, as the “inevitable creep toward death becomes a nauseating blur.” It’s true that something feels wrong about seeing adult Hanson. Shouldn’t they have been encased in carbonite or something, forever young and skateboarding? Oh well, at least the adult Hansons still look pretty cute—it’s just a different kind of cute.

See the complete tour dates below, beneath Paste Cloud audio from a 1998 Hanson show, find more info on it here and don’t miss Paste’s live-stream of Hanson during SXSW this Friday, March 17, at 8:30 p.m. EST.
