Hundred Waters have announced a new album, Communicating, due out Sept. 14.
Along with the announcement, the trio have shared the single “Blanket Me,” a piano-driven ballad that builds on itself to create a pretty emotionally compelling track. The song seems very cathartic, much like most of the album, according to a press release.
“From a broad lens, the album is a breakup,” said lead vocalist Nicole Miglis in a statement. “It starts with a need for independence and it ends with an ‘all better,’ like we did it: we learned, we loved, we separated, and now it’s time for the next chapter.”
The band heads out on tour with Lafawndah and Kelsey Lu this fall. Listen to “Blanket Me” along with Paste Cloud audio from the band’s Daytrotter Session below.
