Let the #IndieAmnesty legends reign: Interpol and Franz Ferdinand have announced a joint tour in Mexico spanning two dates in November.
Inklings of the two alt-rock powerhouses joining forces for a tour began to take shape after Franz Ferdinand frontman Alex Kapranos responded to a fan’s screenshot of a TicketMaster page displaying “Interpol & Franz Ferdinand” cover art with “Exciting isn’t it?” last month.
The two groups made the co-headlining tour official on Monday afternoon in an Instagram announcement.
Pre-sale tickets for the joint shows will be made available on Aug. 19 for Citibanamex debit/credit card holders, with tickets going on sale to the general public on Aug. 21.
Interpol and Franz Ferdinand both released their latest studio efforts, Marauder and Always Ascending, respectively, in 2018.
