Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper Filming Scenes for A Star Is Born at Coachella

We previously reported that Lady Gaga would star in a remake of the 1976 Barbra Streisand classic A Star Is Born directed by Bradley Cooper, and now comes news that the pair is filming scenes for the film at Coachella.

Following her replacement headlining set for Beyoncé on Saturday night at the festival, Gaga and Cooper are spending the week filming scenes on stage at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, Calif., and inviting fans to show up to filming as extras. The film tells the story of an aging country star, played by Cooper (Kris Kristofferson played the role in the original), who falls for an up-and-coming singer named Ally. Streisand won an Oscar in 1977 for “Evergreen (Love Theme from A Star Is Born).”

The scenes in question will feature a “country western” show so the invite is asking fans to don denim and the appropriate boots. Anyone wanting to be involved has to be at least 18 years old and pay a $10 fee that goes toward Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation.

If you can’t make it all the way out to Cali to be an extra in the film, you can at least check out Lady Gaga’s surprise new single, “The Cure” here.
