How you feel about Justin Bieber’s recent music likely depends on where you draw the line between Bieber the person and Bieber the artist. Thankfully, we don’t have to engage that debate today, because The 1975 took Bieber’s “Sorry” and made it their own on BBC 1 Radio.
The Manchester-based new wave revivalists moved the song from its original tropical house aesthetic into the territory of sexy, grooving slow jam, with bursts of saxophone and a thick bass line. It’s good enough that had Bieber released this version of the song, it probably still would’ve topped the charts. Check it out below.
