After a two-year hiatus, dreamy electronic band Little Dragon are back with a new song “High,”—watch the video above.
The song is their first new music since their 2014 album Nabuma Rubberband, which received a Grammy nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Album. Their new song “High” has the same beautiful dream-pop vocals from lead singer Yukimi Nagano, layered over slow-dance-appropriate electronic beats. In the video, Nagano, dressed in loud geometric prints and adorned with a golden crown of leaves, sways in a DIY basement setting filled with tapestries and lamps.
Little Dragon have also announced a run of North American tour dates beginning this spring. It will be the band’s first tour since 2015, and they plan to start at the much-anticipated Coachella Festival. At times, they will be joined by rapper Goldlink, and then for some shows they will play beside indie-tronica outfit Glass Animals.
Tickets will go on sale this Friday, Feb. 17, via Little Dragon’s website here. See below for their full slate of tour dates, and don’t miss Paste’s review of their 2011 album Ritual Union, plus Paste Cloud audio from their 2010 Daytrotter session below.
