Birmingham, Alabama’s own indie-rock veteran Louis Schefano has his first solo album due out on Feb. 17, and we’ve got a new single right here for your listening pleasure. Titled Opposite Side of the World, the record will be released via Maria Taylor’s newly launched label, Flower Moon Records. Lead single “Song for Anthony” joins the already-released and similarly chill-yet-catchy track “Come to Think,” put out earlier this month.
Schefano might be better known as the founding drummer in his hometown acts of Remy Zero and Little Red Rocket (featuring Taylor and Orenda Fink of Azure Ray), or from his contributions in bands like Verbena or Cheshires, among a host of others. You might also know him from when he’s previously recorded under the monikers Regia, Louis or Suspicious Light. Schefano has also produced, performed or recorded with artists like Bright Eyes, The Ladybug Transistor and more.
Go ahead and give the new track a listen below. You can also check out Louis’ upcoming tour dates beneath that.
