Yesterday morning, lead singer of Modest Mouse Isaac Brock was cited for careless driving after causing a car accident in Portland and falling asleep at the wheel.
The singer failed to stop at Southeast Grand Avenue after crossing the Morrison Bridge, causing a five-car crash. According to The Oregonian, police reports say the car “hit the rear of a City of Portland Parks pick-up truck, which hit a Subaru, which hit another Subaru, which likely hit a 5th car that left the scene (perhaps not knowing it had been tapped).”
Brock told police that he had fallen asleep while driving. He was examined for intoxication, but no signs were found. There were no serious injuries at the scene of the accident, and the investigation is now closed.
