Watch Mumford & Sons and Phoebe Bridgers Cover Radiohead’s “All I Need”

Newport Folk Festival, the yearly musical weekend event celebrating the best of folk and folk-adjacent artists, is well-known for surprising audiences with unexpected headliners and performers. At this year’s fest, which wrapped up Sunday, pop-bluegrass kings Mumford & Sons provided a surprise set, closing out the festival with 15 songs. Indie-folk songstress Phoebe Bridgers joined them onstage for a track or two, namely for a cover of Radiohead’s “All I Need,” from 2008’s In Rainbows. Watch it go down below.

In a typical display of Newport harmony, the number of performers onstage grew by the end of Mumford & Sons’ ambush set. Following the band’s and Bridgers’ Radiohead rendering, Brandi Carlile joined the fun for a Simon & Garfunkel cover. Then, none other than Mavis Staples and Maggie Rogers, who also joined Mumford last summer at Latitude Festival, emerged for the closing numbers.

Bridgers could hardly contain her excitement at the fellowship happening onstage, as you can see in her bird’s-eye Instagram video of the performance, below.
