amfAR AIDS Benefit Compilation to Feature ’80s Covers by Phantogram, Lower Dens, More

‘80s music fans, rejoice. A compilation album benefitting the AIDS research foundation amfAR will be released next month, featuring an impressive list of present-day acts covering ‘80s pop classics, Billboard reports. The 14-track collection is due out Oct. 7 via Republic Records.

Included in the album are Lower Dens’ take on Hall & Oates’ “Maneater,” a Phantogram revamp of Phil Collins’ “Take Me Home” and a cover of New Order’s “Bizarre Love Triangle” from Sugar For Sugar, a group composed of Scarlett Johansson, Julia Haltigan, Holly Miranda and Kendra Morris.
