Last Saturday’s New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival was all about the legends: Stevie Wonder, Snoop Dogg and Irma Thomas offered sets that spanned decades. It was a pure display of artists who maintain momentum without slowing, and a glorious punctuation to another solid year for a festival that’s been around for almost half a century. The day also offered energetic performances from The Soul Rebels, Big Sam’s Funky Nation and many more. Check out Amy Harris’ gallery of the day above (as well as previous coverage below) and standby for our wrap of yesterday’s schedule.
