Boston’s No Hope/No Harm has shared a somber “sort-of-Christmas” song, “We Can Be Real Again.” The track comes as the second single from the four-piece led by Aaron Perrino of the Sheila Divine and Dear Leader, and longtime music journalist Luke O’Neil, formerly of the Good North.
“I suppose it sort of sounds like the Sheila Divine meets the Good North, surprisingly,” O’Neil noted in a Vanyaland interview. “At least on our first song ‘This Living Wage,’ for sure—that same sort of melancholy grandeur.”
No Hope/No Harm was catalyzed by the duo’s shared love of emo, and soon after, James F. Forbes of Sebio and The Field Effect’s Adam Hand were added to the mix. Listen to “We Can Be Real Again” below via the Paste Cloud, and beneath that, revisit “This Living Wage.”
