Paste Seeks Music Editorial Interns for NY Office

Music News

Last year, Paste opened up its first New York office in midtown Manhattan. While most of the editorial staff remains in Decatur, Ga., much of our music coverage now happens in New York. Paste is now offering editorial internships for Fall.

Fall interns would start ASAP and continue through to mid-December. We’re looking for smart, talented and hungry writer/editors who love music. The internship is unpaid, but all interns will receive a $500 stipend. Typical hours are 9am – 5pm Monday through Friday, but schedule is flexible to accommodate schooling or jobs.

Interns won’t be making anyone coffee (unless you want coffee—then you’ll be making your own). Instead they’ll work directly with our new music editor, assisting with bands stopping by the Paste Studio and writing, writing, writing about music. While interns based in the Decatur, Ga., office will be focused on news items for all sections, NY-based interns will be solely focused on music.

If that sounds like a dream opportunity, submit a resume and cover letter to [email protected]. Be sure to note education (including GPA) and relevant experience and let us know why you want an internship at Paste. And please include three examples of your writing, preferably published clips.

Deadline for fall interns is Wednesday, Aug. 17. See our FAQ for interns or email us with specific questions.
